What’s up all I’m Mark aka D.K. McShay and I really love radio because it will give me a chance to have a career some of my favorite things, which are sports and music. The Edge was a good fit for me because I really do like “underground” type artists. I like going to shows at smaller venues or watching good bands jam out some good tunes. Also headline acts bring smaller bands to open shows and you can just see the hunger and passion those groups have for music that sometimes goes away when an artist becomes mainstream.

I get asked the question “How do you get D.K. McShay out of Mark?” Well I was at a Dropkick Murphy’s show and I had a few pints of Guinness and some Jamison and I started telling friends and strangers that I was Declan O’Shea from Chicago. After the show (and hangover) the name stuck. I changed it to D.K. McShay as a tribute DKM for Drop Kick Murphys. Their music always reminds me of good friends and great times. I hope someday my show will give somebody else that type of feeling.
